WHEN & WHERE

The Thanet Wine Appreciation Society has habitually aimed to hold 8 full meetings a year, starting with the year’s AGM in September and thereafter monthly from October to April inclusive on the third Wednesday of the month.

The Society meets at The Pavilion, Harbour St., Broadstairs, CT10 1EU.

 

THE MEETING FORMAT

The usual format of each meeting is that of a tasting of up to six wines followed by a two-course supper. The tasting is overseen and commentated either by professionally hired expert speakers, or by individual members with a special interest.

 

EXTRA SOCIAL EVENTS

This programme is supplemented variously by outside meetings, functions and social events such as visits to local vineyards, and occasionally a foreign holiday abroad with a wine theme.
